In Google Takeout, deselect everything, tick My Activity, then use its “Select activity records” button and keep only Gemini Apps. Ticking the “Gemini” product instead gives you Gems and scheduled actions — not your chats.

FAQ

Does my archive get uploaded?
No. The zip is opened and parsed by JavaScript in this page. The only format that leaves your browser is PDF, which needs a real page renderer — and you are told before that happens.
Which conversation do I get when I edited or regenerated a message?
Every prompt and answer Google kept — grouped back into conversations by their chat link, oldest first. Takeout stores an activity log, not the conversation tree, so unlike our ChatGPT and Claude readers this one cannot single out “the branch you were looking at”: that information simply is not in the file. Prompts whose conversation link is missing are kept in a clearly-marked leftover group rather than dropped.
What about images?
If the archive carries the image file, it is embedded in the output. If it does not, the spot is marked instead of leaving a link that points nowhere.
